Firmware MD6112.10.17 for JA-103K, JA-107K and JA-108K

Firmware MD6112.10.17 for JA-103K, JA-107K and JA-108K
F-Link 3.0.11 gets JA-103K, JA-107K and JA-108K control units ready for firmware MD6112.10.17. It guides you through the whole update: it tells you up front how long it will take, offers an event memory backup, reconnects by itself after formatting the SD card and finishes an interrupted update on the next connection.
For JA-103K and JA-107K this is the move to the 10th firmware generation, a one-time step that takes longer than a regular update but makes every future update faster. One important change: MD6112.10.17 no longer supports the CID protocol over GSM (DTMF). A control unit that uses it would stop reporting to the ARC after the update, so F-Link will not start the update until you change the protocol. Read more about firmware MD6112.10.17 here.
It also brings a new JB-161HN parameter and the TCP/IP SIA protocol. Fixes cover offline database import, which you reported to us, the JB-112TH and JB-112TP thermostat notice and a few other smaller issues.
What's new?
Important: end of the CID protocol over GSM (DTMF)
- Firmware MD6112.10.17 no longer supports this protocol. A control unit that uses it to communicate with an ARC would stop sending events to that ARC after the update, and returning to an older firmware version is not possible. F-Link therefore will not start the update until you set a different protocol for that ARC. If the ARC settings are locked, F-Link disables that ARC in the control unit after a double confirmation and continues with the update; the Alarm Receiving Centre then sets a different protocol.
Update to MD6112.10.17
- JA-103K, JA-107K and JA-108K control units: F-Link supports firmware MD6112.10.17. JA-108K is updated from MD6112.10.10. JA-103K and JA-107K move from MD6112.09.13 to the 10th firmware generation – this one-time transition takes longer than a regular update (up to 20 minutes). Future firmware updates will be faster. Read more about firmware MD6112.10.17 here.
- F-Link tells you in advance that voice files will be uploaded and that the update takes up to 20 minutes, offers a backup of the event memory and lets you cancel the update. Even from older firmware versions the update runs automatically in a single pass.
- After formatting the SD card, F-Link restarts the control unit, reconnects to it automatically and completes the update, so the control unit keeps its configuration. F-Link resumes an interrupted update on the next connection; after three unsuccessful attempts it stops and reports it.
- During the update, F-Link no longer shows confirmation prompts that would stop it (e.g. default codes or time adjustment).
Control unit language update
- If the firmware version in the control unit differs from the version in the update package, F-Link first asks whether you want to update the control unit firmware. It then skips the separate language upload, so the update is faster.
JB-161HN — direct relay-to-input link
- The new "Direct relay-to-input link during service / communication loss" parameter switches the relay straight from the input even when communication with the control unit is lost or the control unit is in service mode; on by default, requires module FW ox6041.01.020 or newer.
ARC — TCP/IP SIA protocol
- The "TCP/IP SIA" protocol can be selected in ARC settings and its Timing form is identical to IP SIA. The protocol is offered on JA-103K, JA-107K and JA-108K control units with firmware MD6112.10.17 or newer.
What's fixed?
Offline database
- A database created offline could not be imported into a control unit with firmware MD6112.09.12 or MD6112.09.13; F-Link reported settings from a newer control unit version. Fixed. Databases created by older F-Link versions can be imported after updating the control unit to MD6112.10.17.
JB-112TH and JB-112TP thermostats
- Thermostat data is sent to the app only from control unit firmware MD6112.09.13. F-Link now asks you to update the control unit firmware after enrolling the thermostat and shows an obstruction offering the update for thermostats that are already enrolled.
Various fixes
- JA-152J MS II, JA-154J MS II and JA-155J keyfobs: after connecting to the control unit, F-Link reported a configuration mismatch on some keyfobs and the "Enter" button stayed greyed out, so the keyfob could not be configured. Fixed.
- JA-152SHM: after switching the Function parameter from Off to Shock or Tilt, Sensitivity was preset to an invalid value and the field turned red. Fixed.
- JA-111H TRB and JA-111H-AD TRB: on a module enrolled in the last position of the system range, the TRB input option in the internal setup could not be changed. Fixed.
